A little background information,
I use to be a level 29 twink with all the best items you could get, till I
quit playing, I only got these items by using disenchantment to make gold.
You make around 30 gold a day in 30 minutes or so just browsing the
auction house. Some time I can make that in one item. I have over 500 gold
on my guy, all 16 slot bags, and all bank slots open with 16 slot bags,
enchanting at 225, and jewelry working at 230. I am waiting till 35 to get
them up to 300 (watching the chat, you can buy formulas for cheap, I have
gotten 2 level 300 enchanting formulas for 2 gold each). I could resell
those for gold, but I want them to complete my collection of enchantments.
If you are starting out with no money or on a new character, read the
Starting Out Manuel to the left.
A lot of times when I tell
someone I have 500 gold on a level 20 or so character, they say bullshit,
or stuff like you bought it from those chink farmers, so now I just don't
tell people anymore unless they ask or call me a noob for offering low on
an item. Now for the tips on how to make that 40 gold a day in 30 minutes
a day. (simple stuff is first, more complex stuff at the end, make sure to
read it all for a good understanding! From start to finish before you
begin.)

Get a character that can disenchant. don't try to
level enchantment till you get to skill level 50 or so because you
level it by disenchanting.

When you disenchant something, you get dust. That is
what you are going to be selling to make the gold. Usually on all
servers, the price of Strange Dust is around 10 silver each, or a
stack for 2 gold. (look at the prices on your server to make sure this
is possible to do, if not, you still can sell other stuff, I will get
to that later. and remember prices fluctuate so if it is at 70 silver
for 20 one day, it may be at 3 gold the next. please don't rip people
off to much by doing this. If you put it up in the AH for to much, it
may take longer to sell, but you will get more gold, it is a delicate
balance, find the spot you like and keep it there.) You can also sell
the Essences you get too (a good price is 3 gold for a stack of
Greater Magic Essences).

When you put something in the AH, make sure to place
the bid the same as the buyout, people are more likely to buy it
because they don't have to click twice to get the item. (I have found
this the case A LOT, people will undercut my prices for a bid of like
1.50 gold bid, 1.95 gold buyout, and they still buy mine because it is
easier to buy.)

When starting enchanting, copper rings are a good
starting point, usually 3-9 silver bid/buyout, and you get a skill
point, till you get up to 25 and can disenchant higher level items as
stated below.

Items that are best to buy, or you get the most out of
it for the money you put in... any level 16-20 green will get you 4-6
Strange Dust per disenchant. that means you make 40-60 silver per
disenchant on one of those items, so in the AH put in 16-20 and
uncommon in your search. this will come up with lots upon lots upon
lots of items, search by bid, and start bidding, I usually won't
bid/buyout if it is over 25 silver for the item, but some days I feel
generous and will buyout up to 35 silver.

Don't..... do these things: bid on a
level 21 items (you only get 1-2 soul dust) and bid more than 10
silver on a a level 5-15 item (you will only break even).

At this point, you should be starting to make gold,
the gold income is slow to start, but after about the 5th day you
should start seeing a REAL income, (maybe even 15 gold a day!).

If you have Jewelry Working along with enchanting, you
can start to level it, and once you hit Solid Bronze Rings, you can
make your own rings (depending on the server) for 24 silver each (1
stack of bronze bars for 1.2 gold). Once you make them, you can
disenchant them and sell the dust (and you skill level Jewelry
Working.

now you have 2 things to search for when you go to the
AH (bronze bars and 16-20 uncommon items)

once you get up to around 100 gold and disenchant up
to 150, then you can move on to the higher level items, I will state
these later.

The next step
is to make around 40 gold a day with little to no work! (once again,
check prices on your server before you begin!)

The next items I advice you to purchase for
destruction into essences (Greater Nether Essence or Dream Dust) is
level 41-45 weapons (weapons have a higher chance almost 100% to make
Essences, not only 1 but it can be 2 also)

These essences you get from those weapons should sell
for around 6 gold each and the Dream Dust should sell for 1 gold each.
The weapons you are buying should sell for around 4 gold each. I put
bid or buyouts on the weapons if they are below 4 gold. Once you win
the item, you can disenchant it, but your disenchanting skill level
must be 150 to do this.

You have to have around 100 gold still, but this time your enchant
must be at 200. We are now going to be disenchanting level 51-55
uncommon weapons. this will get you Greater Eternal Essences and
Illusion dust. once again, check the AH to make sure you will make a
profit. as before, you will still get 1 or 2 Greater Eternal Essences
or 1 or2 Illusion Dust. Greater Eternal Essences should sell for
around 8 gold, and Illusion Dust for 2-4 gold each. so you want to set
your bid/buyout price at around 6-7 gold for these items.
